How many sets of braids can I braid with 1 container?

One container can braid approximately 10-15 sets of braids. However, this is dependent on how much braiding wax you use based on the texture, volume, and amount of mane your horse has. 

What's in the wax?

Spot On Braiding Wax uses all natural ingredient with no added chemicals. Our wax uses the following ingredients: Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Arrowroot Powder, and Vitamin E. If you're ordering a scented wax, we add either Peppermint Essential Oil or Lavender Essential Oil. 

Is the wax melt proof?

Our wax is made to better withstand the hot temperatures of Northern California, however if you leave your wax container in your car when it is very hot it will melt. That being said, we have done several tests where we have left the wax in our tack room in 108 degree weather and the wax was still solid but a bit soft. We always recommend you to keep the wax in a cool, dry location if possible.

HELP! My wax is super hard!

If you find your wax to be hard and difficult to apply, try putting it in your pocket for about 10-15 minutes to warm it up. 

Can I use your Lavender Scented Braiding Wax at USEF and FEI events?

The ingredient lavender (we use lavender essential oil in our braiding wax) is listed on the forbidden substance list under USEF Drugs & Medications Rules. However, provided that Spot On Braiding Wax used topically (externally, as instructed), there is no need for restricting their use during competition. If these products are used inappropriately this could result in positive finding which would be a direct violation of USEF drug rules. Use our Lavender scented braiding wax at your own risk. We also offer a peppermint and unscented version of our wax as an alternative! Please only use our products as instructed on the labels. 

Ultimately,  it is your responsibility as a competitor to ensure you know USEF/FEI rules if you are competing in recognized events. 

What is your lead time on items? 

All items are made in small batches to ensure a high quality and consistent product. We do not keep large amounts of stock so we can make sure you receive a fresh product. Our current order wait time is about 3-5 days.

What's your Return Policy?

Due to our product being handmade and the way they are used we can not accept returns on any used items or if the tamper proof seal has been removed from the container. If for any reason you are unhappy with your order please contact us at braidingwax@gmail.com and we will try our best to accommodate you.

What are your Contest Rules on Facebook and Instagram?

By submitting an entry (picture, comment, share, or like) to any contest you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Spot On Braiding Wax, and that you satisfy all eligibility requirements. The information you provide will be used for contacting and delivering prize winnings to contest winner. By submitting an entry to any contest, you allow and agree to let Spot On Braiding Wax use your image for promotional use. The winner will be contacted and has 72 hours to claim their prize. If the winner does not respond to after 72 hours another winner will be chosen at random. Contest governed by U.S. law. Contest is open to U.S. residents 15 years old and older. Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.
Regarding voting contests, participants may vote once only in a 24 hour period. One winner will be chosen based on vote totals as of the posted end of the contest. In the event of a tie one winner will be randomly selected by Spot On Braiding Wax. No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Prior winners of contests from Spot On Braiding Wax may not enter or win within 12 months of previous prize winning. All contests exclude Spot On Braiding Wax employees, previous employees, family members or business partners.
